Contributor: Banjara
is the best Indian restaurant in Ashburn. Great food, nice
interiors and courteous staff make it worth a visit.
Jason
P: We are huge fans
of Indian food, and feel lucky to have such a solid performer
in Ashburn. We typically get take out, although the kids
(3 and 4 year olds) like going to the restaurant as well.
We typically order:
Chicken Vindaloo
(ask for spicy) Chicken Curry Palak Paneer Dal
Curry Chicken 65 (for the kids) Tandorii Chicken (for
the kids) Samosas Garlic Nann
The butter
chicken is pretty good too.

M: Worth the stop. Lunch or dinner are both
fantastic. Good, attentive service. Never super
busy, so tables are always available. (Personally, don't
do takeout...you get treated so well in this place, that the
price is worth the stop in).
June 2008 Update-
now offered on Carryoutcoach.com for
delivery. Food arrived HOT and perfect! Great in a
pinch for that Indian craving.

Flying
in/out of Dulles? Maybe you're just someone's airport ride?
Well, whatever the case may be, if you get a hankering for
some Indian food (both Northern and Southern), then definitely
don't miss Banjara. I visited on the recommendation of
Nita C; I trust her completely with food recs, and especially
with this particular find b/c she's half Indian! This is
NOT a hole in the wall kind of place, nor is it wannabe
trendy. It's a semi-upscale gem with great service and
delicious food, especially their curries - and don't miss the
dosa! If you're even close to the area, it's definitely
worth a bit of a detour to feast here.

wonderful service. They have a buffet at lunch
time.

If you like Indian food, this
restaurant in Ashburn, VA (yes, I know, the middle of nowhere)
is like a hidden treasure! My husband and I eat there so much
that the owners (and the waiters) know us! Banjara has North
and South Indian cuisine...our favorite is the Pooris! The
food can be a bit heavy, but it is definitely worth the trip
out to Loudoun County! If you go on a Friday or Saturday
night, it does get busy, but it's not generally too long a
wait. Next time you've got to fly out of Dulles, stop for a
bite to eat here!
